I haven’t yet! Actually, I was thinking of getting around to working on new creatures toward the end of the month (seahorses, starfish, jellyfish, squids, etc). I’ve been working full time as an art teacher so it’s been pretty difficult to find time for knitting.
But yeah, I’ll probably have some variety of sea creatures eventually. I’m sticking to octopi for now, since I can churn them out pretty fast at this point. Let me know if you’re interested in the ones I’ve posted already. I’ll finish it up and list it on Etsy for purchase.

My manatee. I share my hometown of Crystal River, Florida with hundreds of manatees. I go swimming with them every year. Everyone can learn from a manatee because even though they are mainly killed by boat propellers leaving scars on their backs, they just keep swimming and love you anyway. We all have scars, forgive anyway.

The illustration is so lovely—I keep looking at how accurate-but-cute the face (even the body) is. The scars on its back are a great touch.

Rainbow!
This guy is pretty big, too. It’s longer than my forearm, if that counts as a unit of measurement. But I need to re-do the head…it’s too fat.
